Batu mili mountain is one of popular mountain in the Mahakam Ulu District. There are larges lake such as Jempang 15.000 ha, Semayang 13.000 ha, Melintang 11,000 ha. There are also popular lakes in Kubar located on the top of mountain ranges namely Aco and Beluuq lakes.

We have "The Black Orchid Park" in West Kutai. The Black Orchid is truly unique because it can only be found in West Kutai. Nowhere else in the world has it—only here. It's incredibly fascinating. It used to cover five thousand hectares. But unfortunately, due to wildfires in recent years, the area has shrunk to just a few hundred hectares. Still, if you visit, you can find clusters, trees, or roots of the famous Black Orchid that are still there today.

Another area particularly significant for the Dayak Punan community in North Kalimantan is Punan Tubuh. This community is widely recognized for its deep connection with nature. They live in close harmony with the forest and have preserved it with great care up to the present day. In addition to Punan Tubuh, several other Punan communities can also be found along the Malinau River, such as Punan Longkeramu, Punan Labanyarit, Punan Metut, Punan Rian, and Punan Gongsolok—each of which is highly renowned
